Showcase on X-photographer: Craig Robertson

His first camera was a plastic one, a gift from santa, which unfortunately melted in the sun while placed in the back of the old Cortina. This first failed attempt at photography didn’t deter him however; it simply led to a delay in what would become a stellar photography career. As it wasn’t until his ‘obligatory OE … with a strict budget of 50 rolls of Fujichrome Velvia (36 frames per week!)’ that Craig Robertson realised he had to pursue a career in professional photography.

Serious Instant Photography

The sleek and stylish Instax Mini 90 is proving a popular choice amongst photographers wanting to take their photography to another level or for those who simply love to experiment with film.

What differentiates the camera from its Instax counterparts is the manual control photographers have over their images - double exposure mode, brightness control, and macro mode are amongst many available functionalities.

X Marks the Spot: Paris, France

“I love the beauty and elegance in Paris: the architecture, the open spaces and the people. But it’s the small details that I like as much as the famous monuments and chateaux.”

Alastair documents Paris with a Fujifilm X-E1, which he started using last year.

“I chose the X-E1 after hours of research into mirrorless cameras. I was using a DSLR and a bridge camera previously but I haven’t touched either since getting the Fujifilm. It’s been a pleasure to use.”
